XL Sportster Intake/Exhaust Valve Guide, Std.   (OEM/NOS #18112-92)

This part number first appears in 1993, and we can confirm use to at least 1998.   However, we suspect later use is also likely, but more research may be required, as explained below.  This part number corresponds to both intake and exhaust guides.  It is a Std (standard) sized guide.     

We do not have Factory references for 1999-2001.  But we do have the 2002 reference, and for 2002 it shows the same part number but with the "B" designation.    Therefore, some time between 1999-2001, the Factory changed the designation.   Generally, a change in letter designation represents some update in design, and the later designations generally supercede previous designations.  That being said, we suspect this part number can be used on late motors. 

As a final note, one of our online references show a cross reference to OEM #18101-83B, which is a part number that first appears for 1991-92 models.  However, we can not confirm the validity of this information.   Again, we can only verify use from 1993-'98, using Factory references.    But earlier or later use may require additional research.  Please consult your own Factory references and local builder for further technical guidance.
