Harley Shovelhead REAR Tappet Guide/Lifter Block, Late Style  (OEM L1976-84)

OEM casting.  No chipping, no damage, no cracks. 

Bores are clean and free from rust and pitting.  We are noting normal tappet tracking with a few moderate scores at the top.  However, we have test-fitted a standard Shovelhead tappet into each bore, and fitment was excellent with no evidence of excess wear or play.

FITMENT NOTE:  This is for REAR applications, only. 

FITMENT NOTE:  This is the LATE STYLE guide, originally used on Factory FX & FL cases from late 1976-84.  Specifically, please note that the mount holes on this guide require the use of the flat-based, 12-point 1/4-20 screw set.  And the late cases were machined for that specific thread size and pitch.  In contrast, early cases and blocks require the use of countersunk style screws with a hex head, and the early 1/4-24 screws were used.  Therefore, carefully inspect the machining of your existing cases for the correct thread pitch, and use the matching block and screw set as required.
