Harley Panhead/Shovel Shifter Plate & Lever (SMOOTH Shaft, Circlip Type, 1965-73)
This plate is the 1965-73 style which used the late shifter cover and the circlip-style lever for early Shovelhead-era shifter rod clevis connector. You will note, however, that there is no blind nut for retaining the chrome shifter cover. We suspect the nut welds failed, and the nut broke off. But common hardware could be used if a shifter cover is required.
Plate finish is dated and weathered. But the plate surfaces remain fairly smooth, so a bead blasting and new finish would make this look quite nice. We generally prefer satin silver finishes.
FITMENT NOTE--the included shifter lever has a SMOOTH shaft, so a smooth bore toe-heal shifter arm will be required.
