Panhead/Shovelhead Foot Shift Lever (OEM Smooth Shaft, Circlip Type, 1965-73)

OEM, smooth shaft lever.

Footshifters were introduced as an option in 1953, and early versions were offered with a smooth shaft. This is a smooth shaft lever, however, it is machined for the circlip retainer which Factory references show for the 1965-73 vintage, only.  For pre-65, assemblies, the lever styles used a bolt-attached clevis. 

FITMENT NOTE--shaft lengths and shaft diameters may have varied between early and late assemblies.  So we only recommend using this lever with the '65-later shifter plates.
