Lockhart Oil Cooler With Built-In Bypass/Thermostat  (Harley FX/FL/FLT)

Excellent condition.  Shows light blemishes and light finish wear, only.

This style is common to late Shovelhead and early Evolution Touring models.  It's frame is similar to the early Lockhart, but this later style uses an integrated, thermostatically-controlled bypass valve located under the chrome cover.

FITMENT NOTE--mount centers measure 4", so the early "V" bracket can not be used.

BYPASS NOTE--access for servicing/cleaning the integrated bypass valve is obtained by removing the chrome cover.  A ring retainer holds the valve components in place.  Outer valve cap uses an "O" ring for sealing.

OIL SEAL--although condition is excellent, we still recommend checking bypass location for any leaks.
