Harley XLCH Ironhead Sportster Lower Fork Cover (OEM 35mm, 1977-Later)

This cover has been a survivor. 

Very likely an original, OEM cover.  And the dated chrome finish and light, uniform patina would be consistent with an OEM part of this age.  Despite the light fading and light pitting, the fundamental structure is still straight.  We are not finding and dents or dings, but there are a few very small impact dimples from the inside.  But they are fairly minor, and you must look for them to find them.

In brief, not perfect.  But not bad, either.  And it still shows relatively well.  A good polishing wheel and buffing compound would restore more of the original luster.
