Harley XLCH Ironhead Sportster Battery Tray 1973-78  (OEM #66236-73)

This tray is OEM #66236-73, correct for XLCH use from 1973-78, and we have confirmed the part number by viewing OEM trays in NOS condition and packaging.  However, we know there is also an early part number for the '71-'72 vintage. Usually a change in part number represents some change in the original design. But the only feature that varies on these trays, from what we have seen, is a small, strap-like bracket that is welded to the right, underside area of the tray base. Some trays have it while others do not. This tray has it. But the versions are otherwise exactly the same.

Very solid shape, strong welds, square condition.  All tabs are present. Black finish is likely original.
