Harley XL Sportster 12-Pin Socket Terminal, Left Side  (OEM, 1970s Style)

This harness has a 12-pin socket connector, which we believe is common to the XL Sportsters.  The Big Twins generally used a 6 pin arrangement.  That being said, it's likely the harness and color coding were similar between them. 

Specific years of application, however, is uncertain.  We know the 12-pin style connector was used as early as 1975, but a few different styles were used.  So more research will be required.
