Harley XL/FX 20-140 MPG Speedometer, VEGLIA  (Tested & Working)

OEM speedometer. 

All functions have been tested and are in good working condition, including speedometer needle, both digit tumbler assemblies, and trip meter reset.  And everything works correctly.  Very quiet, too.  So there is no evidence of bushing wear.   Bezel is nice and clean with minor blemishing, only.  Glass is clear, and face plate has nice lettering and nice contrast.  We are noting some internal dust, but nothing distracting.  And it shows well. 

Note, this is the VEGLIA version with manufacturing origins in Italy.  The NIPPON SEIKI assemblies came later.  So this likely originated in an early XL or FX model, possibly 1974 and earlier.  We believe the XL transitioned to a different style in the mid-1970's.  But this style continued in use on most FX models for the 1975-84 vintage.  But please do you own research.

OEM part number is not known, but usage would generally be correct for early XL and FX models were a stock 19" wheel and stock drive unit is used.
