Harley Sportster Girling Rear Caliper (OEM #44052-82, 1982-83--Tested/Working)

OEM for XL Sportsters for the 1982-83 vintage, only.

Other than some wear in the original paint finish, condition is very good with good piston movement, a clean seal set, and a dust seal and retainer that remains clean and in good shape.

Bleeder screw with dust cover is attached.

NOTE:  this caliper is correct for the XL Sportster from 1982-83, only.  It must not be confused with the FXR variation which had some important machining differences.  Specifically, the XL version of the Girling features a bleeder screw on the right side.  In contrast, the FXR bleeder screw needs to be on the left.  This is an important fitment issue, since OEM hoses must be routed correctly, with the proper reach.  So, although both XL and FXR models used the Girling, the bleeder and connector port holes were configured differently.
