Harley Shovelhead Transmission Plate  (OEM #47698-65A; Non-Oil Filter Type)

This is the early version of the stamped steel plates. 

That means it does not have the machined hole for the transmission-mounted oil filter bracket, which was not introduced until 1982.  Rather, this is the "standard" version, OEM #47698-65A, as detailed below.

All four spacing rings are present, adjustment channels have nice shape, and there are no cracks.

TECHNICAL NOTE:
The Factory used three versions of this plate, as follows:

#47698-65A: standard
#47698-65B: machined for rear filter mount
#47698-65C: machined for filter mount plus two additional holes in a diagonal arrangement (likely for clip retainers)

This is the standard, or "A", version.
