Harley Shovelhead Transmission Plate #47698-65C (For Trans Oil Filter Brackets)

There are three versions of this plate.  This is the late version, OEM #47698-65C. 

It is distinguished by its machined hole at the rear for the transmission-mounted oil filter bracket.  Also, unique to this late version are the two machined holes in the center of the plate, in a diagonal orientation.  That means this bracket is specific to the FX and FL models which used to late style oil filter mount bracket, generally appearing on production bikes from 1982-84.  

Stud slide holes still have nice shape, all 4 spacer rings are present, and there are no cracks.

NOTE:  the aforementioned machined holes in the center section of the plate, in the diagonal orientation, are not threaded.  This varies from previous examples we have seen.  However, there is original, black paint in the hole inner perimeters, which suggests to us this is original from the Factory.  We suspect the Factory reproduced these plates for retroactive use, hence the machining variations.
