Harley Shovelhead FX Battery Tray 1971-L  (Kick Start Only Models)

This battery tray is specific to the FX Shovelhead Super Glide, introduced in '71.  It was also used on all production bikes until an electric start option was offered in '74.

This specific tray has all the correct features, including the small terminal window at the left rear. This tray is for the smaller FX battery, unique to kickstart only models.  In contrast, FXE models ("E"lectric start models) used a slightly larger tray, and different mount hardware and brackets were required, so be sure you verify proper use/fitment.

Original chrome finish is dated with general finish wear and light blemishes.  But tray is square, and all correct tabs are present.  So the fundamentals are good.
