Harley PanheadShovelhead Buddy Seat Springs & Rod  (OEM, 1968-77)

Late style rod and spring, so the lower pins are of the "non-locking" type, generally correct for the '68-'77 vintage.  For the '65-'67 vintage, a different pin style was required.

Springs have nice shape with original black paint finish, and attaching bolts are the original CP 1038s.

FITMENT NOTE:   This assembly featured some variations.  Early assemblies included brackets with a riveted catch which clipped into a narrowly-machined ring on the lower pins.  This, however, is the late style which uses non-locking pins, and the pins are secured by gravity, once properly inserted into the machined holes on each bracket.  So, early and late brackets and pins types are not interchangeable.  So please review your existing components and model style requirements, carefully.
