Harley Panhead/Shovelhead 4-Speed Clutch Tamer (3-Finger Hubs, Only)

The Clutch Tamer is a simple, reliable update to 4-speed transmissions using a stock 3-finger clutch basket. 

Retainer is indexed for "A", "B", or "C" positions. Simply remove existing hub retaining springs and dust shield and replace with this retainer.  Position in one of the three indexed locations until finger retainer grooves are just showing. Then, use retainer clips (not included) to lock in place.

When clutch is released, basket plates separate, but the basket shell remains in place, resulting in cleaner plate separation and smoother shifting performance.

NOTE:  this retainer is for 3-finger hubs, only. This retainer WILL NOT work on late/aftermarket 5-finger hubs.
