Harley Panhead/Shovel RH-55 License Plate Mount (OEM 1955-72)
This is the early style mount, distinguished by its short base and two-hole fender mount design. It is common to the Panhead from 1955-65, Generator Shovelheads from 1966-69, and Nosecone Shovelheads 1970-72.
In general, condition is good--there are no cracks, and the bracket remains fairly square with minor distortions across the plate mounting face, only, which is normal. The existing paint probably dates back to the 1970's with it's pink color and hand-painted pot leaves on the back upright. So this one likely originated in a 1970's chopper, which we find interesting.
