Harley Panhead/K/XL RH-55 License Plate Bracket (OEM 1955-72)
There are four basic versions of the RH-55 bracket.
The earliest style had a trim, square, lower frame face. The second style is distinguished by its "short, two-hole" design, commonly used on Panhead 1955-65, Generator Shovelheads 1966-69, and Nosecone Shovelheads 1970-72. It is also likely correct for all K and XL models of roughly the same vintage. The third style also has a "two-hole" mount, but it had a taller bracket profile to accommodate the placement of an added reflector. The fourth style was a 3-hole version.
In general, all versions featured the RH-55 stamp. On some of the very late 3-hole versions, however, the RH-55 stamp may have been omitted. This is the second style, correct for use on Big Twins and XLs, 1955-72.
Original black paint finish is still very good, showing light normal finish wear, only. No cracks. No evidence of twisting or distortions.
NOTE--included is the base bracket, only, exactly as pictured. The support and plate retainer brackets are required to complete.
