Harley Panhead/Generator Shovel Oil Level Gauge/Dip Stick & Cap (OEM 1965-69)

Factory references show this style of oil level gauge/dip stick for the 1965-69 vintage, only.  That being said, as cap and dip stick assembly, it will correctly fit on all cone Shovelhead era oil tanks, if desired. 

Cap chrome is uniformly clean with no chipping, flaking, or scuffing.  Shows light normal finish wear, only.   Seal is present, but it's very hard.  Sometimes these cork-style gaskets can be rehabilitated by placing in oil and letting it sit in the sun.  We're not sure if that trick can work on this seal, but it may be worth a try.  Another option is to flip the seal.  But if it's too brittle, that option might not work so well, either.  Or you can simply attempt to use it, as is.
