Harley Pan/Shovelhead Shifter Plate & Lever (SPLINED Shaft, Circlip Type, 1965-73)

Foot shift assemblies were introduced in 1953, but there were some variations. This particular plate and lever set would be correct for the 1965-73 vintage.  Unique to these models was the circlip-style, clevis retainer.  Also introduced for the '65 vintage was the one-piece toe/heal shifter, so the two-piece shafts were no longer used.

Please note the shifter lever has a SPLINED shaft, so a splined bore toe-heal shifter arm will be required.  

Plate face and footboard tab are in square condition.  And we are not observing an distortions.  There are no cracks.  Cover screws are present and appear original.  And the original silver finish (zinc, we believe) on both plate and lever is still fairly nice.   If zinc, then this set likely originated in an early-to-mid Cone Shovelhead era bike. 

In our view, this is a very nice set of components.  And we have already test-fitted a splined toe-heal shifter arm, and it fit perfectly.
