Harley Keihin Carburetor Float OEM #27339-76  (Early Style, 1976-E78)

Early style float for the '76 to early '78 vintage. For late '78 and later, a different float was used.

FITMENT NOTES:
The butterfly Keihin went through three primary design changes.  According to Factory references, this float is specific to the early assemblies for '76-E'78.  For late '78 and after, a new float and new part number are indicated.  Among the late design changes were:

1) a taller float profile
2) a differing needle seat clip hanger
3) a different hanger location
4) removal of an adjusting tab
5) additional reliefs for improved float stability and travel

Although we have not carefully studied the early and later bodies for interchangeability and function, the various changes would seem to suggest some fitment issues when using this float on late assemblies.  Therefore, this float style should only be used on early assemblies.  For late '78 and later, we recommend you use OEM #27887-78.
