Harley Keihin Carburetor Float, Early Style  (OEM #27339-76, 1976-E78)

This is the early style float used for the 1976 to early 1978 vintage.  It is constructed from a solid, foam-like composite material.  For late 1978 and later, the hollow, plastic type float, with a different tab and shape, was used.  

FITMENT NOTES:
The butterfly Keihin went through three primary design changes.  According to Factory references, this float is specific to the early assemblies for '76-E'78.  For late '79 and after, a new float and new part number are indicated.  Among the late design changes were:

1) a taller float profile
2) a differing needle seat clip hanger
3) a different hanger location
4) removal of an adjusting tab
5) additional reliefs for improved float stability and travel

Therefore, this float style should only be used on early assemblies.  For late '78 and later, we recommend you use OEM #27887-78.
