Harley FXWG/FXST Shovelhead/Evolution Shifter Plate  (OEM #33683-80, 1980-86)

This is the early shifter plate, specifically for the FXWG 1980-86 and FXST models 1984-85.  One of our sources shows additional use on ElectraGlide Sport and FLHS-80 models from 1981-84.

Although this plate appears similar to the '87 and later plate, there were some important differences. Specifically, the peg mount-to-shifter shaft bore spacing is wider, compared to the '87 and later plates.  Also, it's possible a different bushing and shaft were used. So early and late components, in general, do not interchange. That being said, this plate will certainly mount to '87 and later bikes.  But because the shifter hole sits further back, a shorter shifter rod might be required when using on '87-later FXST models.

Original OEM black paint is fairly good, but it shows normal wear and weathering.  Grease fitting is attached.  And there are no cracks.  You'll also note there is no blind nut on the back side, which is correct.  The blind nut didn't appear until 1987.
