Harley FX Shovelhead RIGHT SIDE Caliper (Black, 1977-83; Tested/Working)

RIGHT SIDE caliper assembly for FX Shovehead models, 1977-83.

This is a complete assembly with a very clean piston and piston bore.  Linings also remain in good condition, all hardware is clean, and there is no excess wear in the ling pin holes.  Looking at the inner surface of the backing plate, you will note this cover was made in Taiwan.  So the presumption is that this entire assembly is aftermarket.  That being said, the castings appear study.

The black paint finish is pretty "soft", meaning it feels a little sticky when being rubbed with WD-40.  So our guess is that a previous user applied an aerosol black paint, which we would expect to come off fairly easily using a thinner or other similar solvent.

FITMENT NOTE:  please note, this is the RIGHT SIDE caliper.  The left side version is a mirror version of this one.  And the two DO NOT interchange.
