Harley FX Shovelhead Mounting Plate, Late 1972-76  (OEM/NOS #49019-72)

We have checked both early and late FX Shovelhead Factory references, and we have not been able to locate this part number.  A few of our online NOS resources, however, are indicating FX Shovelhead use from late 1972-76.  Similar part numbers would seem to suggest this might be a forward foot rest plate, which seems plausible, given the sturdy stock used.

For reference, the shorter hole pair centers measure approximately 2" while the longer hole pair centers measure approximately 2 1/4".  Our guess is that the front lower frame lugs, used for mounting forward controls, have the 2" measurement.  So we suspect that a pair of these brackets was used to mount forward foot pegs on a bike that was equipped with mid controls.  Just a guess on our part, so more research may be required. 

Price indicated is for one plate.  We have two in our stock--one in a sealed package and another in an unsealed package.  But both are in excellent, original condition in Factory black paint..
