Harley FX Shovelhead 10-150 MPH Speedometer  (Working--NIPPON SEIKI)

OEM speedometer. 

All functions have been tested and are in good working condition, including speedometer needle, both digit tumbler assemblies, and you can see there is 4/10 reading on the trip meter, which means we tested the reset functions, as well.  And everything works correctly.  Quiet, too.  So there is no evident bushing wear.  This is a NIPPON SEIKI assembly, not the Italian version.

Also, you will note there are only 1,467 miles on this assembly.  Based on the condition of the drive, and its smooth operation, we believe these are original miles.  

In general, condition is clean, and it looks nice. 

We are noting a small impact ding on the bezel in the 6 o'clock position.  But the ding is on the bottom, downward-oriented surface, so this is not visually distracting.  We are also noting some internal cloth swipe streaks, which we believe originated in the manufacturer cleaning process prior to assembly.  Not distracting, but it is lightly visible in certain light.  But this type of streaking is fairly common for assemblies from this vintage.  

This style was introduced in 1970 and used on the FX until 1984.
