Harley FX/FL Shovehead 3-Hole Derby Cover, 1970-L  (Mustang, Made In U.S.A)

This cover was manufactured by Mustang, maker of Mustang seats.  We didn't even know they manufactured products such as this.  But their logo is clearly present on the interior.  And to our knowledge, they no longer sell accessory items, such as this.  So this is a dated, vintage-specific cover that has manufacturing origins here in the U.S.A.  And the quality shows.  This is a hefty casting, and if features a reinforcing ring on the perimeter, which means it's not likely to warp or crack. 

Construction is from a non-ferrous material, but based on the weight, aluminum seems highly unlikely.  Our guess would be brass or possibly stainless steel.  Other than light minor blemishes and light finish wear, chrome shows bright and clean. 

This is a quality vintage piece.  And it's unique in that it originates from an well-established company in the industry.
