Harley FLT Shovelhead Front LEFT Side Caliper, OEM 1980-83  (Tested & Working)

This is an original, LEFT side caliper, specifically designed for the 41mm, FLT WideGlide, ONLY.  This caliper must not be confused with the FX variation, which was much smaller. 

Piston movement is smooth and clean.  And we have already disassembled and inspected, so we know the bore is clean with a good seal set and a nice, cleanly-machined piston.  Bleeder and compression fitting ports have good, straight threads.  And the bleeder screw is present and turns on and off cleanly, so it is not frozen.

Caliper linings have approximately 1/8" thickness, so replacement is highly recommended.  But they could still be used in the very near term, in our view.

FITMENT NOTE #1--this is the larger caliper for FLT use only.  This caliper WILL NOT work on the FX models.  The FX narrowglides used a smaller version, and the two styles do not interchange. 

FITMENT NOTE #2--this specific caliper is for LEFT side use, ONLY.  For the right side, the casting features were reversed.
