Harley Evolution FXST Softail Shifter Plate (OEM,  1986-90)

This gusseted style shifter plate is correct for FXST Softail models from 1986-90.  That being said, the shift shaft hole position and frame mount hole patterns are the same to 1999.   Range of possible usage, therefore, is 1986-99.   And the only difference between this plate and the late plate is that this style is constructed from steel plate stock while the later style is cast construction with a uniform, contoured body design.

Black paint is original but lightly worn and dated.  But this is easily refinished.  On the back side of the plate, however, you can see the tack welded blind nut has been removed.  

NOTE:  this style shifter plate used an "O" ring seal set as well as a teflon spacer. 

NOTE:  for the FXWG, a different plate with different shifter shaft hole location was used.
