Harley CV Top Cover, Early Small Hole Style  (Replaces OEM #27040-88)

There were two variations on the CV cover, from the Factory:

Early Style:  OEM #27040-88, used from 1990-96

Late Style:  OEM  #27261-96, used from 1997-06

This cover is for the early style assemblies for the 1990-96 vintage.  It is distinguished by its small screw holes which measure approximately 3/16" in diameter.  In contrast, the late style covers featured screw holes which measured approximately 7/32" in diameter.   Further, the late covers with the larger holes used collars on all four screw corners.  The patterns are otherwise the same.  But the correct hardware sets should be used.

Again, this cover fits the early CVs, replacing OEM #27040-88 for model years 1990-96.  Nice chrome finish with light finish wear, only.
