Harley Caliper Mounting Bracket, OEM #44060-83  (Early Style, 1984-91)

This bracket is OEM #44060-83, and it is specific to the 1984-91 vintage.  

Although it looks similar to the 1992 and later bracket, there is one important difference--this early style bracket does not have the raised lug, which is normally located near the hole just adjacent to the lining clip window on 1992 and later models. 

FITMENT NOTE:  according to Factory references, this early bracket can be used for either front left or front right caliper assemblies from 1984-91.  For the 1992 and later vintage, a different bracket set was required.
