Harley Bendix/Keihin Oval Air Cleaner Backing Plate  (OEM 1971-77)

Second generation plate for Bendix and Keihin applications from 1972-77, but it can be used for the '78-'86 vintage if desired.

Unique to this plate is the broader recessed flange surface which was enlarged to accommodate the new Bendix with with its accelerator pump feature.  It is also distinguished by the cut out appearing along the top right intake bore perimeter, which is correct.  This was necessary for the air bleed hole which was used on all OEM carburetors from 1972-86.

Outside rim is square, not distorted, and there are no cracks on the flange bolt holes.
