Harley Bendix Fixed Main Jet Carburetor, 1971-75 (Rebuild Kit Required)

Nice, OEM assembly.  But there are a few modifications worth mentioning.

First, the upper manifold mount stud is attached using a threaded insert.  That means the original threads were likely stripped, which is common.  However, the insert used is very secure, so we consider this to be a good repair.  Also, the throttle shaft lever-plate has an additional throttle cable-mounting swivel.  But this can easily be removed, if preferred.  Lastly, we are noting that the hole just above the choke shaft boss on the inlet side has been tapped.  A previous user had mounted a supplementary return spring bracket at this location.  But this is functionally irrelevant.

Otherwise, body is clean with a nice polished finish, choke and throttle plates have correct function, bowl assembly is complete, and all other related hardware is attached and present.

A complete cleaning and rebuild kit are required, prior to use.
