Harley 4-Speed Clutch Tamer Disc  (5-Finger Hubs, Only)

Clutch tamer discs have been used on stock 4-speed transmissions for decades.  However, this specific version is designed for 5-finger clutch baskets, ONLY. 

Retainer is indexed for "A" or "B" positions. Simply remove your existing hub retaining springs and dust shield and replace with this retainer.  Position in one of the two indexed locations until finger retainer grooves are just showing. Then, use retainer clips (not included) to lock in place.

When clutch is released, basket plates separate, but the basket shell remains in place, resulting in cleaner plate separation and smoother shifting performance.

FITMENT NOTES:  as already noted above, this retainer is for 5-finger hubs, only. This retainer WILL NOT work on the early 3-finger hubs.  Also, it only has 2 possible index positions, either "A" or "B".   However, the text on ring perimeter indicates "4-Adjustements .030+ .060+ .070+ .100"  That being said, it is not clear to us how four adjustments are possible.  Our only guess is that additional hardware may have been included in the originating kit, such as spacers, for example.  Otherwise, we are only discerning two possible adjustments, as noted:  Either "A" or "B".
