FL Shovelhead Battery Tray (OEM Type 2, 1970-73)

There are 4 versions of this tray: 1965-69, 1970-73, 1974-79, and 1980-84.   This is the Type 2 tray, correct for stock FL's 1970-73, Unique to this tray style is the 90 degree tab on the front frame bracket, used for mounthing the early Delco-Remy relay.    Type 3 versions featured a flat tab to accomodate the larger relays for '74, and Type 4 versions used no tabs at all. 

Finish is good, but we can tell someone applied an aerosol paint job.  Still, construction is solid, tray is square, there are no distortions, and there is minimal rust.  Please note in photo 2 that the left mount tab has been drilled/enlarged.    It would appear a previous user had fitment problems, and drilling was his solution, which is regrettable.  Still, it is an OEM tray, and this could be corrected, if required.  Otherwise you'll need to use a flat washer before affixing the nut.
