Shovelhead/Servi-Car Switch Housing Clamp (OEM #Casting #33627-72)

This housing clamp is a bit unusual.  It has the Factory casting number 33627-72 clearly present on the interior.   We know OEM #33626-72 shares this same casting number.  However, we know this is a distinctly different part, and it has two differences:  first, it does not have a casting lug for the rear view mirror.  Second, note the counter-sunk screw holes.  That means the switch housings, themselves, must have been tapped for threads, and the screws heads for this cover had to be forward-facing. 

Again, a very unusual switch cover.  We know it is not 33726-72, despite the similarities.  Therefore, we presume it was used for models of essentially the same vintage as 33726-72, which was 1972-78, but the style may have been used as late as '81.  So more research may be required to determine precise fitment.    But it will clearly match any of the '72-later switch housing assemblies, assuming your housings are machined for the threads.
