S&S #177 Air Cleaner Backing Plate, Early Sand Casting  (S&S Super B, Only)

The #177 backing plate is specific to the S&S Super B.  

This plate WILL NOT fit properly on the Super E or Super G carburetors or air cleaner assemblies. E/G flange faces used a different bolt and air bleed hole pattern. Also, E/G chrome covers used a rear hole spacing that was slightly further, rearward. So this plate is for Super B applications, only, and the early aluminum finish cover must be used. For Super E or G applications, a 300 Series plate and chrome cover must be used.
