K Model & XL Ironhead Sportster Rear Axle, 1952-78  (OEM, 5/8" x 11 1/8")

Fundamentals are very good, and there is no evidence of hub bearing ridging.  Threads are straight and clean.  You will note there is a fold on one of the hex peaks.   However, the remaining flats are square, and the swing arm locking steps remain well-machined. 

Factory references show the same axle and part number for both K and XL models from 1952-78.   Axle length is 11 1/8" and width is 5/8".
