Harley FX Shovelhead Brake Pedal Spring  (OEM #42425-79)

Based on having owned previous versions of this spring in NOS packaging, we know this is OEM #42425-79.  Factory references show this part number for FX models (except FXWG) 1979-84. 

A different part number is indicated for the 1971-'78 vintage.   The early version had a different hook offset.  Not sure why the Factory found it necessary to change it for the '79 and later models.  Perhaps it had something to do with a new hooking location? Increased tension?  We don't know.
